Regular Meeting
November 3, 1987
A regular meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees was
held November 3, 1987 at 6:00 p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to
notice as prescribed by law.

Staff: Pamela Loui, Librarian
1. Acceptance of Agenda: Motion was made by Linda Navarre and
seconded by Virginia Carlson-Foat to
accept the agenda. Motion passed.
2. Acceptance of Minutes for
October 6, 1987 Regular Meeting: Motion made by Linda Navarre and
seconded by Gladys Benson to accept
the minutes. Motion carried.
3. Librarian Report: Librarian's report showed an increase
in circulation over last month. 4253
books were circulated. There were 237
new readers registered. Thirteen story-
hours were held with 243 in attendance.
A Halloween program was put on with 48
in attendance. There were four movies
shown and two tours conducted.
4. Old Business: None
5. New Business.
a. Election of officers: Motion to nominate Barbara Gordon for
President was made by Linda Navarre,
seconded by Virginia Carlson-Foat.
Barbara Gordon made the motion that
Terry Spence be Vice-President. James
_ Lovett seconded the motion. Motion was
made by Linda Navarre that Virginia
Carlson-Foat be Secretary. Seconded by
Barbara Gordon.

All motions carried with a unanimous
vote with those nominated abstaining from
voting for themselves.
b. Procedure for recovering books
"lost in circulation": Tabled until the December meeting
c. Video collection policy: Motion to accept the policy for the
video collection was made by Terry
Spence and seconded by James Lovett.

7. Requests for future agenda items: None
8. Adjournment: Meeting adjourned at 6:30.
