Regular Meeting
February 2, 1988
A regular meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees
was held February 2, 1988 at 6:00 p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant
to notice as prescribed by law.

Others present: Lee Gordon
1. Acceptance of Agenda: Motion was made by Terry Spence and
...ft seconded by James Lovett to accept
the agenda. Motion passed.
2. Acceptance of Minutes for
December 1, 1987 Regular Meeting: Motion made by Linda Navarre and
seconded by Gladys Benson to accept
the minutes. Motion carried.
3. Librarian Report: Librarian's report showed increases
again in circulation over the last
two months. There was a report on
the quarterly plan and a report on
October and December.
4. Old Business:
A. Status of ordinance for recovery
of books and/or monies resulting
from overdues: A rough draft of ordinance for
recovery of books and/or monies was
presented to the City Clerk. The
City Attorney has yet to reply
regarding the ordinance.
5. New Business:
A. Proposed LSCA grant for an on-line
catalog: Discussion on Intelligent Catalog

B. Preliminary budget report for
fiscal year 1988/89: The need of a special budget meeting
by end of the month, set for 2/25/88.
C. Appointment of Board member
to the review panel for Texasville• Terry Spence was appointed by Board to
review Texasville.
D. Report on terms which
expire 6/30/88: Those Board members whose terms were
affected were not present at this time.
6. Call to the Public: Lee Gordon expressed concern about the
temperature of the water fountains.
7. Requests for future agenda
items: None
8. Adjournment: Meeting adjourned at 6:55.
