A regular meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees
was held July 5, 1988 at 6.00 p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to
notice as prescribed by law.
Roll Call --
Present Absent
Carlson-Foat, Virginia Benson, Gladys
Gordon, Barbara Lovett, James
Navarre, Linda
Spence, Terry
Staff: Pamela Loui, Library Director
1. Acceptance of Agenda. Motion was made by Terry Spence
and seconded by Linda Navarre to
accept the agenda. Motion passed.
2. Acceptance of Minutes for
June 7, 1988 Regular Meeting: Motion was made by Virginia Carlson-
.... Foat and seconded by Linda Navarre
to accept the minutes. Motion passed.
3. Acceptance of Minutes for
June 27, 1988 Special Meeting: Motion was made by Terry Spence
and seconded by Linda Navarre to
accept the minutes. Motion passed.
4. Librarian Report: Pam Loui reported that the statis-
tical report for June was revised
due to additional circulation
figures. She reviewed the monthly
and quarterly reports and read Rich
Bromans letter regarding status of
parking lot.
5. Old Business:
a. Report on proposed budget
for 1988/89: Budget remains the same so far.
6. New Business:
a. Election of officers: A motion was made by Linda Navarre
.... that we retain the same officers
for another year. Seconded by
Terry Spence.

b. Administrative procedures for
collecting monies for books long
overdue and/or damaged: A policy has been drawn up for
sending a notice, a bill, the
attorneys letter and a statement
of criminal proceedings, all within
designated time limits.
c. Report on Resolution No. 88-18
and Ordinance #634 Adopting
Library Policies: City Council unanimously approved
Resolution No. 88-18 and Ordinance
#634 adopting Library Policies.
7. Call to the Public: None present
8. Requests for future agenda items. Taken under advisement.
9. Adjournment: Meeting adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
