September 6, 1988
A regular meeting of the Apache Junction Library Board of Trustees was
held September 6, 1988 at 6:00 p.m. at the Apache Junction Library pursuant to
notice as prescribed by law.

Staff: Pamela Loui, Library Director
Others present: Kathy Little
1. Acceptance of Agenda: Motion was made by Linda Navarre
and seconded by Terry Spence to
accept the agenda. Motion passed.
2. Acceptance of Minutes for
July 5, 1988 Regular Meeting: Motion made by Terry Spence and
seconded by Linda Navarre to
accept the minutes. Motion
carried.
3. Introduction and welcome of
new Board Member: Kathy Little had not been sworn in
yet.
4. Librarian Report• The librarian reviewed July and
August statistics.
5. Old Business:
a. Report on 1988/89 budget: 1988/89 budget was adopted
August 1 with the changes as
reported at a previous meeting.
Additional change was the placing
of travel and business conferences,
etc. in non-departmental.
b. Report on status of procedure
for collecting monies from
"" overdue materials• Librarian sent a memo to City
Attorney, through the City
Manager on August 18, 1988. No
response to that. If there is
no response by the next meeting,
the Board wants to send a letter

by them.
6. New Business:
a. Review Trustee information
from April 7 workshop: Tabled for next meeting.
7. Call to the Public: None present
8. Requests for future agenda
items: Report on status of procedure
for collecting monies from overdue
materials and review Trustee
information from April 7 workshop.
9. Adjournment: Meeting adjourned at 6:40.
