September 4, 1979
A regular meeting of the Board of Adjustments was held at City Hall on
I September 4, 1979 pursuant to notice as required by law.
Members Present
Mr. Jessamine, Mr Vaughn, Mr. Nesser, Mr. Furness.
Item #1
Quorum of three for public hearings special cases, four to change "rules",
such as policy change. The motion was made by Mr. Nesser.
A minimum of three members, present for voting, shall constitute a quorum to
render decisions in public hearings of the Board of Adjustments. Mr. Vaughn
seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Amended 10/1/79 . Seconded
by Mr Furness
Item #2
A minimum of four members present for voting shall constitute a quorum for
actions to add, delete, or adjust any internal rules, regulations, or operating
practices established by the Board. The motion was made by Mr. Nesser and
seconded by Mr. Vaughn. Motion carried unanimously.
Item #3
Oaths. The Chairman shall have the power to administer oaths and take evidence
as required in the conduct of all public meetings of the Board. The taking of
oaths by the Appellants or Witnesses shall be at the discretion of the
Chairman or request of any member of the Board. Motion was made by Mr Vaughn
and seconded by Mr. Nesser. Motion carried unanimously.
Board would like maps of both sides of street, i.e. , Kiker only on one side of
Ironwood, did not show property on other side.

Anyone within 300' of this request to speak for it?
Anyone (same) against it?
I will now allow anyone who feels they are directly affected by this request
to speak for a maximum of five minutes without repeating what has been said.
If there is a group to address the Chair, please chose a spokesman
All comments shall be directed to the Chair. Motion was made by Mr Vaughn
and seconded by Mr Nesser. Motion carried unanimously
Change Public Hearing Second meeting of the month to 6.00 P.M.
Meeting of September 18, 1979 will not be held unless there is business to be
transacted. Meeting of October 2, 1979 will be held at 7.00 P.M.

Motion was made by Mr. Vaughn and seconded by Mr. Nesser.
Board of Adjustments meetings will be changed to the first and third Monday
of each month, all meetings at 6.00 P.M.
Adjournment 8.40 P.M.
