In Attendance Guests Mr. Joe Jessamine, Chairman Mr. Joe Gero, Director of Mr. Don Nesser, Vice Chairman Planning Mr. Bill Furness Mr. William Nunn Mr. Bill Vaughn Mr. Charles Newcomer, Acting Executive Secretary 1. Mr. Jessamine called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. and requested a roll call of members. 2 Mr. Newcomer called roll and determined that all members were present as indicated above. 3. Mr. Jessamine declared a quorum present and asked for 1110111 a motion to approve the "Minutes of May 19, 1980." 4 Mr. Vaughn noted that during the May 19, 1980 meet- ing, it was Mr. Nunn whom abstained dur- ing the vote on the approval of the "Min- utes of May 5, 1980", since he did not attend the meeting of May 5, 1980. 5. Mr. Jessamine directed Mr. Newcomer to amend the minutes to read• "the motion passed 4-0-1 with William Nunn abstaining since he did not attend the meeting in question". 6. Nesser/Vaughn M/S "BE IT RESOLVED that the "Minutes" -the May 19, 1980 meeting be approved as amended". 7. Mr. Jessamine requested a roll-call vote. The motion passed 4-0-1 with Mr. Nunn abstaining since he did not participate in the in the entire May 19, 1980 meeting. 8 Mr. Jessamine asked for a motion to approve the "Minutes" 1014 of the April 21, 1980 meeting as written. + 9. Nunn/Vaughn M/S "BE IT RESOLVED that the "Minutes" oFthe April 21, 1980 meeting be approved as written." Page 2 - Board of Adjustment Minutes of June 2, 1980 10. Mr. Jessamine requested a roll-call vote on the motion. The motion passed 4-0-1 with Mr. Furness abstaining since he was not present at the meeting in question. 11. Mr. Gero discussed Board meeting dates. He stated that in order to hold a second meeting dur- ing a month, the Board must set a time and date and post a public notice. He stated that the public hearing on Big Mountain Trailer Park should be continued after further discussion with the applicant re- garding his intentions. 12. Nesser/Furness M/S "BE IT RESOLVED the Board of Adjust- ment of the City of Apache Junction, Arizona, will hold a meeting on June 23, 1980, at 7.00 P.M. at 1001 North Idaho Road, Apache Juntion, Arizona." 13. Mr. Jessamine requested a roll-call vote on the motion. The motion passed 5-0. 00014 14. Mr. Nesser opened discussion on rules and procedures for the Board He stated that he would be working on rules for the Board with Mr. Newcomer for presentation at the June 23rd meeting. 15. Mr. Jessamine directed Mr. Newcomer to make an inquiry of the City Attorney concerning the appro- priateness of holding a recess immediately before considering a motion so that the Board members could discuss the action at hand and clarify any questions that they might have. 16. Jessamine/Nesser M/S to adjourn the meeting at 8.00 P.M. The motion passed unanimously. A short work session followed the formal meeting.
