HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-02-15 BOA MINUTESMINUTES BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT 1001 NORTH IDAHO ROAD APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA FEBRUARY 15,1982 In Attendance Absent Mr.Burfiend Mrs.Luddy Mr.Morrison Mrs.Oberg Mr.Vaughn,Vice Chairman Mr.Jessamine,Chairman 1.Chairman 2.Ms.Nendza 3.Chairman 4.Mr.Newcomer 5.Chairman 6.Mr.Jeff Tarro 7.Chairman 8.Mr.Newcomer 9.Chairman 10.Burfiend/Oberg Guests George Luddy Jeffrey Tarro B.C.Erickson Councilman Eidson called the meeting to order at 7:06 p.m.and asked the Recording Secretary to call the roll. called the roll and determined six members were present and none absent,as indicated above. asked staff to brief the Board on case BA -2-82 (Dean's Construction,Inc.). detailed the case for the Board. invited the applicant to speak. introduced himself as the applicant's represenative and presented a summary of the matter. receiving no comments in favor or opposition, asked staff to summarize. noted the memorandum in the Board packets from the Zoning Administrator which recommends grant- ing the variance. called for a motion. M/S "BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Adjustment of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,hereby granting the requested variance to Section 1107 of the City Zoning Ordinance for the property, the location of which is a matter of public record. The granting of this variance shall be subject to the following conditions: The plot plan submitted with the variance appli- cation shall be complied with. The Board bases its decision on the following findings and reasons: 1.Under Section 2309 of the City Zoning Ordinance,the Board of Adjustment may grant yard variances in compliance with private deed restrictions provided certain conditions exist.The Board finds that the following conditions do exist: Page 2 -Board of Adjustment Minutes of February 15,1982 11.Chairman Respectfully submitted, iazeovAir es Newcomer Acting Executive Secretary Approved: a.Numerous lots in said subdivision were in compliance with the setback requirements of these restrictions. b.The approval of the yard setback variance in harmony with the purpose of Section 2403 (d)of the "Apache Junction,Arizona,Zoning Ordinance." The motion passed unanimously (6-0). excused Mr.Vaughn due to an illness in that family and then continued the meeting into a workshop to review zoning regulations and the authority of the Board. There being no further business,the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
