SYNOPSIS Agenda for January 9,1989 approved as submitted.
Minutes for November 7,1988 approved as submitted.
BA -11-88 continued to February 13,1989.
ROLL CALL Seven members present.
AGENDA/MINUTES Chairman Sanchez asked for motion to accept agenda.
Board Members Blatterspiel/Castro -M/S
"I make the motion we approve the agenda dated
January 9,1989."
Motion passed unanimously.
Chairman Sanchez asked for motion to accept minutes.
Board Members Pfeifer/Lynch -M/S
"I make a motion that we accept the minutes of
November 7,1988 as they have been presented."
Motion passed unanimously.
BA -11-88 Chairman Sanchez:
o opened case BA -11-88 to the public and indicated
the case would possibly be continued
o asked for staff briefing

Mr.Hoffman:
o explained the outcome on another case which is
scheduled for settlement by the City Council in
near future could affect this case
o asked for a continuance
Chairman Sanchez asked Zoning Administrator for
further comments.
Charles Coleman,Zoning Administrator:
o explained reasons for continuance of case
o said depending on outcome of other case,BA -11-88
might not need to be heard by the Board;however,
if applicants chose,i t could still be heard
Chairman Sanchez asked i f applicant were present and
objected to a continuance.
Shirleyann Nelson,611 North Palo Verde,Apache
Junction
o did not object to a continuance of the case
o explained her reason for choosing to appeal the
Zoning Administrator's decision instead of asking
for a use variance
Chairman Sanchez asked Board to consider the request
for continuance.
Mr.Dunn suggested February 13,1989 was the next
meeting date.
Pfeifer/Schaffer -M/S
"I make a motion to continue BA -11-88 to
February 13,1989 in these chambers,and at that
time,i f necessary,we can come to a decision."
Motion passed unanimously.
Chairman Sanchez informed applicant the case was
continued to February 13,1989 at 7:00 p.m.in the
City Council chambers.
BOARD RESIGNATION Mr.Hoffman informed Board Mr.Pfeifer had resigned
as a member.
Mr.Pfeifer said he had moved out of the City limits
and according to law,could no longer serve.

Chairman Sanchez expressed the Board's regret and
thanked Mr.Pfeifer for serving.
