ABSENT GUESTS Mrs.Blatterspiel Mrs.Kelley Mr.Pfeifer List in Planning Office SYNOPSIS Agenda dated October 7,1991 accepted. Regular Meeting Minutes September 9,1991,were approved. ROLL CALL Four Board Members were present. Chairman Sanchez called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. AGENDA M/S -Board Members Bluntschlv/Leffler "I move we accept the agenda dated October 7,1991." Motion passed 4-0-0. MINUTES M/S -Board Members Bluntschlv/Leffler "I move we approve the minutes of the regular meeting of September 9,1991." Motion approved 3-0-1.(Mrs.Gardner abstained as she had been absent from the September 9,1991 meeting). PUBLIC HEARING No cases had been scheduled. BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MINUTES OLD BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS INFORMATION AND REPORTS OCTOBER 7,1991 PAGE 2 There was no old business to be discussed. There are no cases pending for the next Board meeting. City Attorney Glenn Gimbut presented a review on the State of Arizona Open Meeting Law. Interim Executive Secretary Sandy Whitten reported: 1)there are no cases to be heard at the Board's meeting on November 14,1991. 2)she had included a Board of Adjustment Seminiar paper, "Riggins Rules",which speaks to Commission and Board members etiquette and behavior.Also a question and answer survey (The Board of Adjustment Organizational Diagnostic)was included in the packet.She suggested that the Board members may wish to answer the questions on their own with the opinions to be discussed later at a work session meeting. The Board determined to hold the court cases discussion until the November 14 meeting. Chairman Sanchez reminded Ms.Whitten that she had planned to give an update on case BA -3-91 (Ronald Scott)regarding the variance for a trailer park on South Meridian Drive. Ms.Whitten informed the Board that the City Attorney had negotiatedi a settlement with the Scotts'in regard to the street dedication which the Board had required.She said it was determined that the City would begin a condemnation suit to recover this right-of-way for Sixteenth Avenue. MEETING DATES, TIMES.ETC.Chairman Sanchez asked for a motion for a future meeting. M/S -Board Members Bluntschly/Leffler "I MOVE that the Board meet for an executive session at 6:30 p.m.,a work session at 6:45 p.m.,and a regular meeting at 700 p.m.,on November 14,1991.
