Boardmember Schoenbeck moved to accept the agenda as presented and approve the minutes
from the October 11,2021 meeting. Boardmember O'Hara seconded the motion.

Vice Chair Durbala called for a motion to open the nominations for the chairperson.
Boardmember Schoenbeck moved to open the nominations for chairperson of the Board of
Adjustment and Appeals. Boardmember Buzzin seconded the motion.

21-605 Presentation and discussion on conflicts of interest, open meeting law, public
record law, parliamentary procedures and code of conduct by the city
attorney.
City Attorney Stern gave a presentation on conflict of interest law, open meeting law, public
records law, parliamentary procedure and council, boards and commissions code of conduct.
21-646 Discussion on Boards and Commissions Training Workshop
Director Kirch stated the city council recommends that the Board of Adjustment and Appeals
members attend the Boards and Commissions training workshop on Friday, December 10th.
Carpooling to the workshop is fine, providing city business is not discussed, as City Attorney
Stern spoke about in the prior presentation.
Director Kirch provided the two new members of the board the zoning code that pertains to the
Board of Adjustment and Appeals.

8. Selection of Meeting Dates, Times, Location and Purpose
21-603 Regular meeting at 7:00 pm on Monday, December 13, 2021 in the city
council chambers located at 300 E. Superstition Boulevard, Apache Junction.
Chair Durbala moved that we have a meeting on December 13,2021 at 7:00 pm in the city council
chambers located at 300 E.Superstition Boulevard.Vice Chair Schoenbeck seconded the motion.
