MEMORANDUM TO: HONORABLE MAYOR MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL
THROUGH: CITY MANAGER
FROM: CITY CLERK
SUBJECT: APACHE JUNCTION VOTING DISTRICTS
Effective March 1, 1984, new voting districts have been established for
Pinal County by the Board of Supervisors.
Apache Junction has added a sixth precinct by the splitting of two others
on the east side of the city. Precincts 22C and 22E have been split to
form Precinct 22F. A map of the new districts is attached. As a result
of this change, the number of registered voters has been more economically
spread throughout the city and adjoining county areas as follows:
PRECINCT NUMBERS OF REGISTERED VOTERS
22A 911
22B 1407
22C 837
. 22D 762
22E 537
22F 1244
The legend at the bottom of the map outlines the polling places for the
May 15th special election. It is not known at this time what sites will
be selected for the county-run primary elections in September and the
General Election in November.
I have been informed that Bill Truman, County Recorder, is in the process
of notifying voters of the new precincts and making the necessary changes
in the voter registration lists.
This item will be placed on the April 16th work session agenda for
discussion.

BUSINESS LICENSE
At this time we have several Businesses within the City limits that have one
Business License for more than one location.
BUSINESS NAME OR OWNER LOCATIONS CURRENT FEE FEE FOR
ALL LOCATIONS
1. Circle K 5 $ 35.00 $ 175.00
2. United Bank 2 $ 35.00 $ 70.00
3. Mobile Home Park - Bifano 4 $ 35.00 $ 140.00
4. Mobile Home Park - Hanover Mang. 5 $ 35.00 $ 175.00
5. Mobile Home Park - Fowler 4 $ 35.00 $ 140.00
6. Morgans Auto Repair 2 $ 35.00 $ 70.00
TOTAL $ 210.00 $ 770.00
A few of the Parks are paying on more than one location due to the change of owner-
ship and not notifying the City Clerk's office.
Our main problem and concern with issuing one license for several locations is that
each business locations has a different Sales Tax number. It is very hard to determine
if each location is paying the proper amount of Tax on each business. With a Business
License, we have all information and current Sales Tax numbers.
