MEMORANDUM TO: HONORABLE MAYOR--AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL

SUBJECT: NOTIFICATION OF PRIMARY ELECTION
Arizona Revised Statutes §16-202, requires that the City Clerk notify
the members of the City Council of the date of the impending primary
election and the offices for which candidates are to be nominated.
An additional requirement is that the Council be notified at least
120 days prior to the date of the election, or prior to November
20, 1984.
Please consider this memorandum as official notice of the primary
election which is scheduled for Tuesday, March, 1985, at which
time three (3) seats on the Apache Junction City Council are to
be nominated for office.
Mayor Clarke will announce the signing of a proclamation declaring
March 04, 1985, as Primary Election Day during the Council meeting
on November 20th.
