REGARDING: SATELLITE MASTER ANTENNA TELEVISION (SMATV)
(Council Study Session Agenda)
A call was received from a businessman indicating the possibility of installing
SMATV' s in the Apache Junction area. He indicated that the antenna could be
as large as 10 feet in diameter and set 6 feet above the ground. At this time,
the only regulation would be that in the Building Code regulating the height
and setback of the unit. No provisions are available at this time for screening
on roof-mounted units. Some other cities have developed comprehensive SMATV
regulations in these regards.
Does the City Council wish to develop requirements for the installation of
SMATV' s?
