There is reason to believe that a location in this area would be advantageous to the State and the community. Prisons are an industry. They are permanent. They have large staffs. They are an economic asset to an area. If the Council feels inclined to pursue this issue, I believe the next step should be assessing the feeling of the business community and if they are agreeable, then assess the feelings of the community. At this time, if there is broad support, we would then involve our legislative delegation in approaching the State. CITY MANAGER 7 FROM: DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS REGARDING. STREET LIGHTS (Study Session Agenda) At a prior Council Study Session, staff was requested to look into streetlight installa- tions along the State Highways.
