CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION NO. 11-32; DECLARING AND ADOPTING THE RESULTS OF THE MAY 17, 2011 GENERAL ELECTION. 5. ADJOURNMENT. Copies of this agenda and additional information regarding any of the items listed above may be obtained from the City Clerk's office, 300 E. Superstition Blvd. , Apache Junction, AZ 85119, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. , excluding holidays. Kathleen Connelly // City Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 11-32 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES, ARIZONA, DECLARING AND ADOPTING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 17, 2011. WHEREAS, the City of Apache Junction, Pinal and Maricopa Counties, Arizona, did hold a general election on the 17th day of March, 2011, for the election of two Councilmembers; and WHEREAS, pursuant to A.R. S. § 16-642 (A) , the election returns as indicated on Attachments A-1 through A-4 entitled "City of Apache Junction, May 17, 2011 General Election Cumulative Report and Statement of Votes Cast" have been presented to and have been canvassed by the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Apache Junction, Pinal and Maricopa Counties, Arizona, as follows : SECTION 1 . That the total number of valid ballots cast at the general election as shown by the poll lists was 2,867. SECTION 2 . That the total number of ballots to be verified (conditional provisional ballots) was 10, and that of the 10 ballots to be verified (conditional provisional ballots) the total number of voters found to be ineligible was 0, leaving the total number of ballots cast to be 2,867 as indicated in Section 1 above. SECTION 3 . That the votes cast for the candidates for Councilmember were: Name Vote Total Rizzi, Christa 1,268 Serdy, Jeff 1,368 Waldron, Dave 1,047 Wilson, "Chip" 1,392 SECTION 4. That it is hereby found, determined and declared of record that the following two candidates did receive a majority of all valid votes cast and are hereby issued certificates of election upon filing any required campaign contribution and expense reports and as set forth in the Apache Junction City Code and State law.
