2. 13-188 Presentation and discussion on award of contract to Sunland Asphalt
for street maintenance work in various locations in partial fulfillment of
fiscal year's 2013-2014 Street Maintenance Plan The work would be
through The Cooperative Purchasing Network Contract #R5225 for
$1,316,903 20 with a 10% contingency of$131,690 00 for a total not to
exceed amount of$1,448,593 20 Presentation and discussion.

SUBJECT SUPERSTITION MOUNTAINS COMMUNITY FACILITIES
DISTRICT NO 1
At this time there is one vacancy created by the resignation Conrad Pasinski whose term
was due to expire on July 14, 2014.
Five applications were received for this vacancy. Mr. Peter Heck has withdrawn his
application due to his recent appointment to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Of
the four remaining applications, inquiries were sent to Mr. Buzzin, Mr Durbala and Mr.
Lenz regarding their continued interest in serving on the Superstition Mountains
Community Facilities District board No response to the inquiry was received by either
Mr Buzzin or Mr Durbala. Mr. Lenz responded with his interest in serving on the board,
but is unavailable to attend the August 5th work session due to a scheduled vacation. I
did not reach out to Mr Struble as his application was received after the inquiry letters
were sent out.

I am a team player and consider my past experience beginning with my Marine Corps career, 1975-
1991,owner operator of my own businesses and now serving in the community of Apache Junction a
priority to be involved where I can be a part of change that makes a difference in the lives in our
community. As the Senior Pastor of(AJCCC) I have direct influence that can bring about change
through others and leadership that impact our city in a positive way.
