The public hearing is scheduled to notify the public as to the pro- posed uses for Federal Revenue Sharing funds in relation to the en- tire City budget. Notices have been published and posted all in accordance with the state and local Fiscal Assistance Act. The proposed uses include only capital outlay items and is for the amount the City will receive between July 1 , 1980 and September 30 , 1980. A contingency amount has also been budgeted should the Federal government continue funding under this Act beginning October 1 , 1980. Citizens are welcome to provide written and/or oral comments and to ask questions regarding the entire budget and the relationship of Federal Revenue Sharing funds to the entire budget. The express purpose of this public hearing is for the final hearing of taxpayers ' comments prior to the adoption of the budget. WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Title 42 of the Arizona Revised Statutes , the City Council did, on the 4th day of June 1980 , make tentative estimates of the amount required to meet the public expenses for the ensuing year and of receipts from sources other than direct taxation by the City of Apache Junction, and WHEREAS, due notice has been given by the City Clerk, as required by law, that said tentative budget is on file and open to inspection by anyone interested; and WHEREAS, in accordance with said provisions of the State Statutes and following due public notice , the City Council met on the 2nd day of July 1980 , at which meeting any taxpayer was priviledged to appear and be heard in favor or against any of the proposed expenditures ; NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION AS FOLLOWS • SECTION I That the estimates of revenues and expenditures shown on attached exhibits to Resolution 80-16 now establish the finally adopted estimates of proposed expenditures by the City of Apache Junction for fiscal year beginning July 1 , 1980 and ending June 30 , 1981 and declare that such shall constitute the budget of the City of Apache Junction for such fiscal year .
