In calling suppliers for interest in bidding, we have deter- mined that competitive bids may be difficult to obtain due to the proximity of suppliers and the nature of the bid. The estimated cost for road materials is $14,497. 50 and the esti- mated cost for road oil is $13, 530. 00. Bids having been received and reviewed indicated lowest best qualified bidder for road materials to be Asphalt Mining & Concrete Company, cost per ton is as follows: 1. 4500 tons at $4. 25 per ton for ABC 2. 190 tons at $11. 44 per ton for 3/8" Cold Coated Chip Bids having been received and reviewed indicated lowest best qualified bidder for road oil to be Arizona Refining, cost per ton is as follows: 1. 35 tons at $243 . 00 per ton for MC-250 2. 25 tons at $193 . 00 per ton for RS-2 I recommend acceptance of the lowest best qualified bidders as described.
