ORDINANCE NO. 1
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
REGULAR MEETINGS; PROVIDING FOR THE CALLING OF SPECIAL MEETINGS OF THE
CITY COUNCIL AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA:
Section 1.Regular Council Meetings

the COuncil falls, upon a day designated by law as a legal holiday, such
meeting shall be held at the same hour on the next succeeding day which.
is not a holiday.All regular meetings Of the Council shall be held at
the County Health Building, Apache Junction, Arizona.
Section 2.Special .Council Meetings
The mayor, or the clerk upon the written request of four members of the
Council, may convene the Council at any time by notifying the members of
the Council of the date, hour and purpose of such special meeting. The
public shall be given at least twenty-four hours notice of any such special
meeting by the posting of such notice in at least three public places;
except that in the case of an actual emergency, a meeting may be held upon
_such notice as is appropriate to the circumstances.
Section 3.Emergency Clause
Whereas the immediate operation of the provisions of this ordinance is
necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety of
the City of Apache Junction, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, adoption and approval by the City Council of Apache Junction.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA THIS 13th DAY OF DECEMBER, 1978.
