AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AMENDING SECTION
2-4-1 OF THE CITY CODE,REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS,PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY,AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I .
That Article 2-4-1 Regular Meeting of the Apache Junction City Code be
amended to read as follows:
The Council shall hold regular meetings on the first and third Wednesdays
of each month at seven o'clock p.m.,provided that when the day fixed for
any regular meeting of the Council falls upon a day designated by law as
a legal holiday,such meeting shall be held at the same hour on the next
succeeding day not a holiday.All regular meetings of the Council shall
be held in the Apache Junction City Hall Complex,1001 North Idaho Road,
Apache Junction,Arizona.
SECTION II.
All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict with the provisions of
this Ordinance or any part of the Code adopted herein by reference are
hereby repealed.
SECTION III.
If any section,subsection,sentence,clause,phrase or portion of this
Ordinance or any part of the Code adopted herein by reference,is for
any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any
court of competent jurisdiction,such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions thereof.
SECTION IV.
I t is necessary for the preservation of peace,health,and safety of the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona,that this Ordinance become effective
immediately,an emergecy is hereby declared to exist,and this Ordinance
shall be effective immediately upon passage and adoption.
