AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
PINAL COUNTY,ARIZONA,AMENDING THE APACHE JUNCTION CITY CODE BY AMENDING
!'SECTION 13-2-5,ASSIGNMENT OF STREET NAMES AND PARCEL ADDRESSES"INCLUDING
AMENDING BY REFERENCE THE MAP ENTITLED "OFFICIAL STREET NAMING MAP OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,"BY PROVIDING FOR THE NAMING OF CERTAIN STREET ALIGNMENTS,
AMENDING CERTAIN STREET NAMES,REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS;PRO-
VIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;AND PROVIDING PENALTIES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,THAT:
SECTION -I IN GENERAL
The map entitled "Official Street Naming Map of Apache Junction,Arizona,"
adopted by reference in the Apache Junction City Code,"Section 13-2-5,
Assignment of Street Names and Parcel Addresses,"shall be amended by:
1.Adding the following new alignment names:
a.The alignment 330 feet west (centerline to centerline)
from Goldfield Road to be named ("North"and "South,"
respectfully)"Wagonwheel Road."
b.The alignment 330 feet south (centerline to centerline)
from Lost Dutchman Boulevard to be.namedIAWesthand -'East,"
respectively)"Hidalgo Street."
c.The alignment 330 feet north (centerline to centerline)
from West Apache Trail and its continuation as East
Junction Street to be named ("West"and "East',"respec-
tively)"Tamarisk Street."
d.The alignment 660 feet east (centerline to centerline)
from Idaho Road to be named ("North"and "South',"respec-
tively)"Sombrero Road."
e.The first existing alignment east of North Delaware Drive
between West Ohio Street and West Superstition Boulevard
to be named "North Victory Drive."
2.The following street name alignments shall be amended as follows:
a.In Section 20,Township 1 North,Range 8 East,Gila and
Salt River Base and Meridian,in Apache Junction,Pinal
County,Arizona,by deleting the name "South Lucy Court"
and inserting in lieu thereof the street name "South Del
Rio Circle."
b.In Section 29,Township 1 North,Range 8 East,Gila and
Salt River Base and Meridian,in Apache Junction,Pinal
County,Arizona,by deleting the name "West Palomino
Avenue"and inserting in lieu thereof the street name
"West 15th Avenue."
SECTION I I REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of
this Ordinance or any part of the Code adopted herein by reference,are
hereby repealed.
SECTION III PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY
I f any section,sub -section,sentence,phrase,clause or portion of this
Ordinance or any part of the Code adopted herein by reference,is for any
reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court
of competent jurisdiction,such decision shall not affect the validity of
the remaining portions thereof.
SECTION IV PENALTY CLAUSE
Any person found guilty of violating any provisions of this Ordinance shall
be punished by a fine not to exceed $1,000 or imprisonment for a period of
six (6)months,or by both such fine and imprisonment.Each day that a
violation continues shall be a separate offense punishable as hereinabove
described.
