AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
PINAL COUNTY,ARIZONA,AMENDING THE APACHE JUNCTION CITY CODE BY AMENDING
"SECTION 13-2-5,ASSIGNMENT OF STREET NAMES AND PARCEL ADDRESSES,"BY
AMENDING THAT CERTAIN MAP ADOPTED BY REFERENCE ENTITLED,"OFFICIAL STREET
NAMING MAP OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,"BY PROVIDING FOR THE NAMING OF
CERTAIN STREET ALIGNMENTS;REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS;PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY;PROVIDING PENALTIES;AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,THAT:
SECTION I IN GENERAL
The Map entitled,"Official Street Naming Map of Apache Junction,Arizona,"
adopted by reference in the Apache Junction City Code,"Section 13-2-5,
Assignment of Street Names and Parcel Addresses,"shall be amended by:
1.That alignment 330'feet east (centerline to centerline)from Idaho
Road to be named ("North"and "South"respectively)"Stetson Road."
2.That alignment more or less 3,960'feet south (centerline to
centerline)from Southern Avenue to be named ("East"and "West"
respectively)"36th Avenue."
3.That alignment more or less 5,280'feet south (centerline to
centerline)from Southern Avenue to be named ("East"and "West"
respectively)"Baseline Avenue."
SECTION I I REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
Ordinance,or any part of the code adopted herein by reference,are hereby
repealed.
SECTION III PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY
I f any section,sub -section,sentence,phrase,clause,or portion of this
Ordinance,or any part of the code adopted herein by reference is,for any
reason,held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of
competent jurisdiction,such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions thereof.
SECTION IV PENALTY CLAUSE
Any person found guilty of violating any provision of this Ordinance,shall be
punished by a fine not to exceed $1,000.00,or imprisonment for a period not
to exceed six (6)months,or by both such fine and imprisonment.Each day
that a violation continues shall be a separate offense punishable as hereinabove
described.
SECTION V EMERGENCY CLAUSE
WHEREAS,i t is necessary for the preservation of the peace,health,and
safety of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,an emergency is declared
to exist,and this Ordinance shall become immediately operative and in
force from and after the date of posting hereof.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona,this 19TH day of APRIL ,19 83 .
