August 13, 1979
A Special Meeting of the Apache Junction City Council was held at the City Hall
August 13, 1979, pursuant to notice as required by law.
The Special Meeting was called to order by Mayor Virginia Seeman at 6:00 p.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Vice -mayor John Granillo.
Councilmembers Present
Mayor Virginia Seeman, Vice -mayor John Granillo, Jerry Burgess, Thomas Damiano,
Jimmy Eidson, Norman Hill, and Marie Shanks.
Staff Present
Susan Goodwin, City Attorney; Isabel C. Ballard, City Clerk.
City Manager:
A motion was made by Jerry Burgess to go into an Emergency Executive Session
and seconded by Marie Shanks.Motion carried unanimously.
Special Meeting reconvened at 8:00 p.m.
No action was proposed to the contrary. An announcement was made by Mayor Virginia
Seeman that the action taken on August 7, 1979 on the appointment of the City
Manager, G. Ray Lee, at the salary of $24,000.00 still stands, starting date
September 1, 1979.
A motion was made by Vice -mayor John Granillo to adjourn and seconded by
Jerry Burgess.Motion carried unanimously.
Meeting adjourned at 8:01 p.m.
