AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,PINAL
COUNTY,ARIZONA,EXTENDING AND INCREASING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,STATE OF ARIZONA,PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF TITLE
9,CHAPTER 4,ARTICLE 7,ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES AND AMENDMENTS THERETO,BY
ANNEXING THERETO CERTAIN TERRITORY PREVIOUSLY UNINCORPORATED AND CONTIGUOUS TO
THE EXISTING CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA;REPEALING ANY
CONFLICTING PROVISIONS;AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY.
WHEREAS,a written petition has been presented to the Mayor and City
Council members of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,signed by the owners of
more than one-half i n value of the real and personal property i n the area
proposed for annexation as would be subject to taxation by the City of Apache
Junction,Arizona,i n the event of annexation within the territory and land
hereinafter described as shown by the last assessment of said property,which
said territory i s contiguous to the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,and not now
embraced within its limits,asking that the property more particularly
hereinafter described be annexed to the City of Apache Junction,and to extend
and increase the corporate limits of the City of Apache Junction so as to embrace
the same;and
WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Council of the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona,are desirous of complying with said petition and extending and in-
creasing the corporate limits of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,to include
said territory;and
WHEREAS,the said petition sets forth a true and correct description of
all the exterior boundaries of the entire area proposed to be annexed to the City
of Apache Junction,and had attached thereto at all times an accurate map of the
territory desired to be annexed;and
WHEREAS,no additions or alterations increasing the territory sought to be
annexed have been made after the said petition had been signed by any owner of
real and personal property i n such territory;and
WHEREAS,certain portions of the territory sought to be annexed have been
deleted by the said Mayor and Council,and,therefore,the territory sought to be
annexed has been reduced i n area to the territory hereinafter described;and
WHEREAS,proper and sufficient certification and proof of the foregoing
facts are now on file i n the office of the City Clerk of the City of Apache
Junction,Arizona,together with the original petition referred to herein.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I
That the following described territory be,and the same hereby is,annexed to the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona,and that the present corporate limits be,and
the same hereby are,extended and increased to include the following described
territory contiguous to the present City limits,to wit:
The West half of Section 33,Township 1 North,Range 8 East,Gila
and Salt River Base and Meridian,Pinal County,Arizona;
EXCEPT the North half of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest
quarter;AND
EXCEPT the North half of the Northeast quarter
quarter of the Northwest quarter;AND
EXCEPT the South half of the Southeast quarter

SECTION I I
That a copy of this ordinance,together with an accurate map of the territory
hereby annexed to the City of Apache Junction,certified by the Mayor of said
City be forthwith filed and recorded i n the office of the County Recorder of
Pinal County,Arizona.
SECTION III REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS
All ordinances and parts of ordinances i n conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance,or any part of the code adopted herein by reference,are hereby
repealed.
SECTION IV PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY
I f any section,sub -section,sentence,phrase,clause,or portion of this
ordinance,or any part of the code adopted herein by reference is,for any
reason,held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of
competent jurisdiction,such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions thereof.
