ACCEPTANCE OF CONSENT AGENDA
)Vice Mayor Barker MOVED
THAT THE CONSENT AGENDA BE ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED; AND
THAT APPROVAL BE GIVEN FOR THE SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE LEASE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN VERIZON WIRELESS AND THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION FOR LOCATION OF COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT ON CITY
PROPERTY WITH A ONE-TIME ACCOMMODATION FEE DUE FROM VERIZON
WIRELESS FOR EXPANSION OF USE IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000; AND THAT
AUTHORIZATION BE GIVEN TO THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE AGREEMENT; AND
THAT RESOLUTION NO. 13-39, A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING THE
CITY TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH PINAL
COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
BROADWAY AVENUE/DELAWARE DRIVE INTERSECTION DRAINAGE
IMPROVEMENTS, BE APPROVED.

AWARDS, PRESENTATIONS AND PROCLAMATIONS
None.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF CURRENT EVENTS
Councilmember Wilson announced parks and recreation will be
having the holiday program and light parade this coming weekend.
Mayor Insalaco announced Boy Scout Troop #39 from Goldfield
Lutheran Church were in attendance.
Councilmember Rizzi announced Four Peaks Elementary is having a
Winterfest Celebration on Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30.They will
have various events and music.

CITY MANAGER'S REPORT
City Manager George Hoffman read a note of thank you from Girl
Scout Troop 1450 for city assistance on a flag retirement
ceremony, read a note from Janine Solley representing comments
from the Wellness Partnership regarding the Wellness Event and
announced Vice Mayor Barker had been appointed vice chair of the
Maricopa Association of Governments Domestic Violence Council.
Circulation Supervisor Karen Rauls gave a brief presentation on
the new Culture Pass Program offered at the library.

THE FOLLOWING DIRECTION BE GIVEN TO STAFF REGARDING PREPARING
AGREEMENTS FOR FY 2013-14 HUMAN SERVICES FUNDING:THAT WE
ACCEPT THE COMMISSION'S FUNDING RECOMMENDATION AS PER THE MEMO
OF NOVEMBER 18, 2013.

Mayor Insalaco commented he
would like to note this is probably one of the shortest meetings
we have had.•
Vice Mayor Barker thanked all
the people from health and human services for all of their hard
work.The council appreciates all they do.
SELECTION OF MEETING DATES, TIMES, LOCATIONS, AND PURPOSES
Vice Mayor Barker MOVED THAT
AN EXECUTIVE SESSION AT 5:45 P.M. AND A WORK SESSION AT 7:00
P.M. BE HELD ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2013, IN THE CITY COUNCIL
CONFERENCE ROOM AND CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS RESPECTIVELY; AND
THAT AN EXECUTIVE SESSION AT 5:45 P.M. BE HELD ON TUESDAY,
DECEMBER 17, 2013, IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS.

1. Acceptance of Agenda.
2. Approval of Minutes of Regular Meeting of November 19, 2013.
3. Consideration of approval of the second amendment to the
lease agreement between Verizon Wireless and the City of
Apache Junction for location of communication equipment on
city property.
4. Consideration of approval of Resolution No. 13-39, a
resolution of the mayor and city council authorizing the city
to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with Pinal
County Flood Control District for the construction of the
Broadway Avenue/Delaware Drive intersection drainage
improvements.
