FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008-2009

Councilmember Dietz commented
he would like to thank staff for doing a wonderful job,
especially Keith Lewis, Bryant Powell and Matt Busby. These are
tough times and for the time being the city is looking pretty
good.We are very fortunate considering the position a lot of
the other cities in this valley are in.They are at least
holding it for right now and he hopes it continues. He thinks
they all did a wonderful job.
Councilmember Severs
commented that in his dealings with all the other cities and
towns, it is frustrating when he needs an inspection and he
finds out that 33 inspectors have been laid off. When he has
needed planned review he finds out that one-third of their staff
has been laid off.It is with every city in the valley right
now, and for this staff to do what it has done without laying
off anyone is a wonderful thing. He hopes they can keep it that
way and move forward into the future.
