SPECIAL MEETING
AUGUST 3,1999
The special meeting of the City Council of the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona,was held on August 3,1999 at the Apache Junction City Council
Chambers pursuant to the notice required by law.
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Coleman called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

DISCUSSION ON FINAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL
YEAR 1999-2000
)City Manager Curtis Shook briefed
the council on the item.He commented a tentative budget had been passed,and
there had been questions regarding a few of the reclassifications.Those have
been changed and can be noted in the classification plan.

Mayor Coleman commented they can
either accept the budget or reduce it,but it cannot be increased.
Councilmember Eck stated this was
his third budget and he felt this was more of an education than any of the
previous ones.He feels they went through it thoroughly and the changes made
were good changes.He believes it is a good budget.
Mayor Coleman closed the discussion
with no further comments and moved on to the next item.
PROPOSED FINAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1999
-000 } Mayor Coleman opened the public
hearing on the item.There being no one wishing to speak,he closed the
public hearing and moved on to the next item.
CONSIDERATION OF PROPOSED RESOLUTION NO.
99-45,ADOPTION OF FINAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL
YEAR 1999-2000 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY )
)Mayor Coleman opened the item.
Councilmember Durbala MOVED THAT
RESOLUTION NO.99-45,A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,FULLY ADOPTING ESTIMATES OF EXPENDITURES BY THE
CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1,1999,AND ENDING
JUNE 30,2000,DECLARING THAT SUCH SHALL ESTABLISH THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION FOR FISCAL YEAR 1999-2000,AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY,BE
APPROVED.
MOTION.
VOTE:Unanimous.
The motion carried.
