AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA;ESTABLISHING LOCATIONS FOR "NO PARKING"SIGNS
THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA;REPEALING ANY
CONFLICTING PROVISIONS;PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;PROVIDING FOR
PENALTIES;AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA THAT:
SECTION 1 IN GENERAL
I t is in the public interest to insure safe,effective and efficient traffic
flow along public rights—of—way within the City of Apache Junction,Arizona
and i t has been determined that traffic control devices are necessary for
the public safety.Now,therefore be i t ordained that "No Parking"signs be
designated at the following locations:
The East side of Ironwood Drive —South of Southern Avenue —adjacent to
the Apache Junction High School and related facilities.
The West side of Idaho Road in the right turn lane entry to the Roadhaven
development.
Furthermore,the Director of Public Works and the Director of Public Safety
are hereby empowered and directed to initiate appropriate action to install
and enforce said traffic control devices.
SECTION I I REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance,or any part of the code adopted herein by reference,are hereby
repealed.
SECTIOj III PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY
If any section,subsection,sentence,phrase,clause or portion of this
ordinance,or any part of the code adopted herein by reference,is for any
reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decisions of any court of
competent jurisdiction,such decisions shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions thereof.
SECTION IV PENALTY CLAUSE
Any person found guilty of any violation of or failure or refusal to do or
perform any act required by Chapter 12 of this code constitutes a civil
traffic violation.Civil traffic violations are subject to the provisions of
Title 28,Chapter 6,Article 20 and 21,Arizona Revised Statute,and
amendments thereof.

SECTION V EMERGENCY CLAUSE
I t is necessary for the preservation of the peace,health and safety of the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona,that this ordinance becomes effective
immediately,an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall
be effective immediately upon passage and adoption.
