AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,AMENDING THE APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,ZONING ORDINANCE,BY AMENDING
SECTIONS OF THE CB -2 (GENERAL BUSINESS)ZONE,OF ARTICLE 16 (COMMERCIAL
DISTRICTS);REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS;AND PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,THAT:
SECTION I IN GENERAL
The following sections of the CB -2 (General Business)Zone of Article 16
(Commercial Districts)of the Apache Junction Zoning Ordinance are hereby
amended to read:
SECTION 16.0201 USES PERMITTED
d.Light manufacturing,processing,assembling,treatment,installation,and
repair of products incidental to retail sales from the premises,provided
that not more than fifty percent (50%),up to a maximum of 1500 square
feet,of the floor of a business is engaged in such activities.
All operations and storage shall be conducted within an enclosed building.
SECTION 16.0212 BUFFERING REQUIREMENTS
There shall be a six-foot high masonry wall on the side and/or rear property
line that are adjacent to any residential district.I f the rear or side abuts
the public roadway which is adjacent to a residential district,then no wall
shall be required.
SECTION I I REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance or any part of the code adopted herein by reference are hereby
repealed.
SECTION III PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY
I f any section,sub -section,sentence,phrase,clause or portion of this
ordinance or any part of the code adopted herein by reference is for any reason
held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of
competent jurisdiction,such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portion thereof.
