AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,AMENDING THE APACHE JUNCTION CITY CODE,CHAPTER 12 TRAFFIC BY
ADDING TO ARTICLE 12-2,TRAFFIC CONTROL A SUBSECTION C UNDER SECTION 12-2-
7,AUTHORITY TO PLACE AND OBEDIENCE TO RESTRICTED TURN SIGNS,REPEALING
ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS;PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;AND PROVIDING FOR
PENALTIES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I IN GENERAL
That the Apache Junction City Code,Chapter 12 TRAFFIC be amended as follows:
Section 12-2-7 Authority to Place and Obedience to Restricted Turn Signs
C.Vehicles exceeding 36 feet in length shall be prohibited from making turns
at the following locations:
Westbound -East Highway 60 to Southbound Royal Palm Road
Eastbound -East Highway 60 to Southbound Royal Palm Road
Eastbound Broadway Avenue to North and Southbound Royal Palm Road
SECTION I I REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance or any part of the code adopted herein by reference are hereby
repealed.
SECTION III PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY
I f any section,subsection,sentence,phrase,clause or portion of this
ordinance or any part of the code adopted herein by reference is,for any
reason,held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of
competent jurisdiction,such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions thereof.
SECTION IV PENALTY CLAUSE
Any person found guilty of any violation of or failure or refusal to do or
perform any act required by Chapter 12 of this code constitutes a civil traffic
violation.Civil traffic violations are subject to the provisions of Title 28,
Chapter 6,Article 20 and 21 of Arizona Revised Statutes and amendments
thereof.

SECTION V EMERGENCY CLAUSE
I t is necessary for the preservation of the peace,health and safety of the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona,that this ordinance become effective
immediately,an emergency is hereby declared ta'exist and this ordinance shall
be effective immediately upon passage and adoption.
