AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AMENDING SECTION 15.0101(A)AND SECTION 17.0101(B)
OF THE APACHE JUNCTION.ARIZONA.ZONING ORDINANCE,ALLOWING ONLY
CONVENTIONAL HOMES OR MANUFACTURED HOMES BUT NOT RECREATIONAL VEHICLES
AS PERMANENT DWELLINGS IN THE GR AND CI -1 ZONES;REPEALING ANY
CONFLICTING PROVISIONS;AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,THAT:
SECTION I IN GENERAL
A.Section 15.0101(a)of the Apache Junction Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended
to read as follows:
a.One (1)single-family dwelling, conventional home or manufactured home,
per lot.A recreational vehicle for not more than ninety (90)days
during construction of a conventional residence on the same premises,
which period may be extended for an additional ninety (90)days upon
application to and approval by the Zoning Administrator.Property
currently developed with a legal nonconforming recreational vehicle
which is hereafter removed from the property may not again be developed
with a recreational vehicle except in conformance with the provisions
of this section.
B.Section 17.0101(b)of the Apache Junction Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended
as follows:
b.One (1)single-family dwelling, conventional home or manufactured home,
for a watchman or caretaker and his family.
SECTION I I REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance or any part of the code adopted herein by reference are hereby repealed.
SECTION III PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY
If any section,sub -section,sentence,phrase,clause or portion of this ordinance
or any part of the code adopted herein by reference is for any reason held to be
invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction,
such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion thereof.
