AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA;ESTABLISHING LOCATIONS FOR STOP SIGNS TOGETHER WITH REPEALING THE
DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN LOCATIONS FOR STOP SIGNS IN THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA;REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS;PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY;AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA THAT:
SECTION I IN GENERAL
It is in the public interest to insure safe,effective and efficient traffic flow
throughout the City of Apache Junction,Arizona and whereas significant changes
in traffic patterns have made i t necessary to repeal the warrant for stop signs
at the following locations:
Windsong Street westbound at Main Drive
Idaho Road northbound at Scenic Street
Idaho Road southbound at Scenic Street
Idaho Road northbound at Apache Trail
Idaho Road southbound at Apache Trail
Idaho Road northbound at Broadway Avenue
Idaho Road southbound at Broadway Avenue
Broadway Avenue eastbound at Idaho Road
Broadway Avenue westbound at Idaho Road
Furthermore,the Director of Public Works is hereby empowered and directed to
initiate appropriate action to remove said traffic control device.
SECTION I I IN GENERAL
It is in the public interest to insure safe,effective and efficient traffic flow
along public rights -of -way within the City of Apache Junction, Arizona and it has
been determined that traffic control devices are necessary for the public safety.
Now,therefore be i t ordained that stop signs be established at the following
locations:
Main Drive northbound at Windsong Street
4th Avenue westbound at Ironwood Drive
4th Avenue eastbound at Gold Drive
4th Avenue westbound at Gold Drive
Silver Drive northbound at 4th Avenue
Silver Drive southbound at 4th Avenue
Gold Drive northbound at 2nd Avenue
Copper Drive northbound at 4th Avenue
Copper Drive southbound at 4th Avenue

Furthermore,the Director of Public Works and the Director of Public Safety are
hereby empowered and directed to initiate appropriate action to install, maintain
and enforce said traffic control devices.
SECTION III REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance,or any part of the code adopted herein by reference,are hereby
repealed.
SECTION IV PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY
I f any section,subsection,sentence,phrase,clause or portion of this
ordinance,or any part of the code adopted herein by reference,is for any
reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of
competent jurisdiction,such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions thereof.
SECTION V EMERGENCY CLAUSE
It is necessary for the preservation of the peace,health and safety of the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona,that this ordinance become effective
immediately,an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall
be effective immediately upon passage and adoption.

ARIZONA,THIS 20TH DAY OF OCTOBER ,1992.
