AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AMENDING THE APACHE JUNCTION CITY CODE CHAPTER 4
FEES BY ADOPTING A NEW ARTICLE 4-3 ANIMAL CONTROL FEE SCHEDULE;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE;REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING
PROVISIONS;PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I IN GENERAL
That the Apache Junction City Code Chapter 4 Fees,be amended by adding a new
Article 4-3 Animal Control Fee Schedule,to read as follows:
A.License Fees (Dogs)(License shall be valid for 12 consecutive months from month of issue.)
1.Sterilized
2.Non -sterilized
3.Late Fee
$7.00 per dog
$12.00 per dog
$3.00 per dog
B.License Fees (Pot Bellied Pigs)
(License shall be due by January 1 of each year.)
1.License Fee $5.00 per pig
2.Late Fee $3.00 per pig
C.Impound Fee $15.00 per event per animal
(To be increased $5.00 per event per animal for each subsequent impound.)

Kennel Fee
1.Commercial Kennel
2.Personal Kennel

F.Quarantine Fee
(Plus $5.00 per day per

1.Non-profit Educational Institutions -No Fee
2.All others $50.00
3.Late Fee $15.00
SECTION I I EFFECTIVE DATE
The effective date of this ordinance shall be January 1,1995.
SECTION III REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance or any part of the code adopted herein by reference are hereby
repealed.
SECTION IV PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY
I f any section,subsection,sentence,phrase,clause or portion of this
ordinance,or any part of the code adopted herein by reference is for any reason
held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent
jurisdiction,such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions thereof.

SECTION V EMERGENCY CLAUSE
It being necessary for the preservation of the peace,health and safety of the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona,that this ordinance become effective
immediately,an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall
be effective immediately upon passage and adoption.
