AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA ADOPTING THE CLASSIFICATION PLAN FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996-97"AND "THE
COMPENSATION SCHEDULE FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996-97" BY REFERENCE;PROVIDING EFFECTIVE
DATES;REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS;PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY:AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA:
SECTION I IN GENERAL
That certain document known as The Classification Plan for Fiscal Year 1996-97"
and "The Compensation Schedule for Fiscal Year 1996-97,"three copies of which
are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona, which documents were made a public record by Resolution No.96-30 of the
City of apache Junction,Arizona,are hereby referred to,adopted,and made a
part hereof as if fully set out in this ordinance.
SECTION I I PROVIDING EFFECTIVE DATES
The effective date of The Classification Plan for Fiscal Year 1996-97" and The
Compensation Schedule for Fiscal Year 1996-97" as listed in Section I above shall
be July 1,1996.
SECTION III REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance,or any part of the code adopted herein by reference are hereby
repealed.
SECTION IV PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY
I f any section,subsection,sentence,clause,phrase,or portion of this
ordinance or any part of the documents adopted herein by reference is for any
reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of
competent jurisdiction,such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions hereof.

SECTION V EMERGENCY CLAUSE
It being necessary for the preservation of the peace,health,and safety of the
City of apache Junction,Arizona,that this ordinance become effective
immediately,an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall
be effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.

APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,THIS 6TH DAY OF AUGUST ,1996.
