WHEREAS, the City of Apache Junction, a municipal corporation
is authorized to enter 'into a contract with the Pinal
County Recorder by the use of the County Registration
Rolls to conduct City Elections;
WHEREAS, the City desires to use the County Registration
Rolls for all future elections held by the City and,
the County Recorder has agreed to said use of County -
Registration Rolls;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City..
of Apache Junction be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to enter into an agreement dated
1972 with the Pinal County Recorder for the use Of the
County RegiStration Rolls in 'future City Elections;

FURTHER, that,the City shall and,she is hereby authorized and
directed to reimburse .the County Recorder for his actual
.expenses in preparing the necessary lists for use in the
election;.

FURTHER, 'that the City Clerk be'and she is hereby authorized -
and directed to do all necessary acts to secure the-
necessary lists from the County Recorder, pursuant to
said agreement.

AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into by and between the City of
Apache Junction, a Municipal corporation, hereinafter designated as
Town, and William S. Truman, Pinal County Recorder, hereinafter re-
ferred to as Recorder.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, ARS Sec.16-10- authorizes any political subdivision
conducting an election pursuant to the laws of the State to use the
County Registration Rolls in the conduct thereof, and to reinburse
the County Recorder for actual expenses in preparing the necessary
lists for use in such election; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Apache Junction desires to use such Pinal
County Registration Rolls for all future elections;
NOW, THEREFOR, IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
1.The City Clerk of the City of Apache Junction, shall apprise the
Recorder of the city limits boundaries as of the date of exe-
cution of this agreement, and further shall notify the Recorder
of any subsequent changes thereto.
2.The City Clerk shall notify the Recorder of any scheduled
election for which lists are required, such notification to be
given in writing and not less than fifty (50) days prior thereto.
3.The Recorder shall furnish copies of Precinct Registers, such
copies to be prepared and certified in accordance with the
relevant portions of ARS 16-154 and ARS 16-155.
4.Said Precinct Registers shall encompass all voting precincts,
or portions of voting precincts, within the City such that
every registered voter resident therein is listed.
5.Said lists shall be prepared as of the close of registration

for each election, which shall occur as of 5:00 p.m. on the
fiftieth day preceding such election, and shall be delivered
to the City not later than the fifth day preceding said election.
6.The Recorder shall furnish suitable covers for said lists, and
other election supplies as needed, if available.Such other
election supplies: shall include preliminary, uncertified lists
of eligible voters to be used to facilitate absentee voting,-
and for such other purposes as the City deems necessary or
advisable.Said uncertified lists shall be furnished by the
Recorder as soon as practicable, normally no later than thirty-
three (33) days prior to each election, in order to be avail-
able for absentee voting.
7.City shall reimburse Recorder for actual costs incurred in
carrying out this agreement.Claims for such payment shall be
submitted and approved in the same manner as are other expend-
itures by the City.
8.This agreement shall be, prior to its execution, submitted
to the Pinal County Attorney and the City Attorney for the City
of Apache Junction, who shall determine that this agreement is in
the proper from and within the powers and authority granted under
the laws of this State, to the City of Apache Junction and to
Pinal County through its County Recorder and said attorneys shall
endorse their approval hereon.
9.This Agreement shall be effective when approved by the Pinal
County Board of Supervisors on behalf of Pinal County and the

Common Council of the City of Apache Junction on behalf of the
City of Apache Junction and upon its being filed with the Final
County Recorder's office as provided in ARS Sec. 11-952,This
Agreement shall gontinue in full force and effect until the 31st
day of December, 1980, except that eitherparty may cancel upon
30 days written notice given to the other.
INWITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have hereunto set their hands as
of the day and year first above written.
