A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
COUNTY OF PINAL,ARIZONA,AUTHORIZING THE HOLDING OF THE REGULAR
PRIMARY ELECTION ON MARCH 27,1979,ESTABLISHING POLLING PLACES AND
VOTING DISTRICTS;PROVIDING FOR THE RECORDATION OF THE ELECTORS'S
CHOICE;APPOINTING ELECTION OFFICIALS AND FIXING THEIR COMPENSATION;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS,i t is provided by law for the holding of a Primary
Election to be held on March 27,1979.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
City of Apache Junction,as follows:
Section 1.Designation of Election Date.
That the City Primary Election be held and conducted on Tuesday,
March 27,1979.
Section 2.Polling Places and \kiting Districts
That county precincts will be used and that Voters residing in
Precinct 22A shall vote at
Fire Station -148 N.Ocotillo
and voters residing in Precinct 22B shall vote at
Superstition Mountain School at Ironwood and Broadway
The polls shall be open on said date of Primary Election from
6:00 a.m.until 7:00 p.m.
Section 3.Recordation of the Elector's Choice
Voting shall be by paper ballots.The City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to cause the printing of paper ballots as set forth
in Title 16,Chapter 5,Article 2,Arizgna Revised Statutes,and Title 16,
Chapter 7,Aritcle 8,Arizona Revised Statutes.
Section 4.Declaring an Emergency
WHEREAS,the innediateoperation of the provisions of this res-
olution is necessary for the preservation of the public peace,health and
safety of the City of Apache Junction,an emergency is hereby declared
to exist;and this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage,adoption and approval by the Mayor and Council of the
City of Apache Junction,and i t is hereby exempt from the referendum pro-
vision of the Constitution and laws of the State of Arizona.

RESOLUCION DEL ALCALDE Y DE LOS CONCEJALES DE LA CIUDAD DE APACHE JUNCTION
CONDADO DE PINAL,ARIZONA,AUTORIZANDO LA CELEBRACION DE ELECCIONES
REGULARES PRIMARIAS EL DIA 27 DE MARZO DE 1979;ESTABLECIENDO LOS LUGARES
PARA VOTAR Y LOS DISTRITOS ELECTORALES;DANDO A CONOCER LA FORMA EN
QUE LOS VOTANTES DARAN SUS VOTOS;Y DELCARANDO UNA EMERGENCIA.
POR CUANTO;ha sido establecida por la ley la celebraciim de elecciones
Primarias y
POR CUANTO,el Alaclade por proOamacion ha convocado la celebracion de
elecciones Primarias para el dia 27 de Marzo de 1979.
POR TANTO HA SIDO DISPUESTO por el Alcalde y los Concejales de la ciudad
de Apache Junction lo siguiente:
Seccion 1:Designacion del dia de las elecciones
Que las elecciones Primarias dela ciudad se celebren el dia 27 de
Marzo de 1979.
Seccion 2:Lugares donde se puede votar y Distritos Electorales.
Los designaciones del Condado de Pinal seran usadas y los votantes
residen'do en tal distrito 22A votaran en el:
Fire Station -148 N.Ocotillo
y los votantes residendo en tal distrito 22B votaran en el:
Superstition Mountain School at Iron wood & Broadway
Seccion 3:Forma en que los votantes dar n su voto:
La votacion se hart por medio de boletas.El Secretario(a)Municipal
por medio de la presente,queda autorizado para ordenar la impresion
de las boletas de acuerdo con,la forma fija5la en el Titulo 16,
Capitulo 5,Articulo 2 y el Titulo 16,Capitulo 7,Artieulo 8 de
los Estatutos Revisados del Estado de Arizona.
Seccion 4:Declarando una emergencia
POR CUANTO,la inmediata aplicacion de las porvisiones de esta
resolucion son necesarias paraiel mantenimiento de la paz pUblica y
para el bienestar de la ciudai deApache Junction,por medio de la
pre ente se declara que exis,te una emergencia;que esta Resolucion
sera complida y se mantendra en vigor desde el momento y despues de
su aprobacion,adopcion y autorizacion,por el Alcalde y los Concejales
de la ciudad de Apache Junction quedando .xempta de las normas de
referendum establecidas por la Constitucion y las leyes del Estado
de Arizona.
PASADA Y ADOPTADA por el Alcalde y los Concejales de la ciudad de Apache
Junction,Arizona,el dia 7th de Marzo de 1979.
