A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION, PINAL COUNTY, ARIZONA AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA TO ENTER INTO
AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH PINAL COUNTY TO PROVIDE
POLICE PROTECTION SERVICES FOR THE CITY.
_WHEREAS the City.of Apache Junction, a municipal
corporation, must begin -to Provide police protection services
to the City and its residents beginning July 1„1979;
WHEREAS •Pi:nal County, by and through the County
Sheriff's Department is capable of providing police services
and equipment to 'the City;
WHEREAS City is desireous of obtaining police
services and equipment for law enforcement purposes and
County is disireous of providing said services and equipment;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of
Apache Junction, Arizona be and she is hereby authorized and
directed to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement
between Pinal County and the City of Apache Junction for
police protection services to be provided to the City;
FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of
Apache Junction be and he is -hereby authorized and directed
to execute any documents which may be necessary to implement
said Agreement.
Passed and Adopted by the Mayor and the City
Council of the City of Apache- Junction, Arizona this 4;day
