, A RESOLUTION .PROVIDING FOR THE EXECUTION OF AN APPLICATION FOR
THE PURCHASE OF 100 ACRES OF STATE LAND WITHIN:THE CITY LIMITS
OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA AND FOR THE LEASE OF TWO ACRES OF
STATE LAND WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF APACHE JUNCTION;
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction, Arizona through
its City Council, desires to make formal application to the
State of Arizona for the purchase of 100 acres of State land
within the City limits of Apache Junction, for the purpose of
erecting and constructing City buildings, and related facilities,
WHEREAS, the City of Apache Junction, Arizona also
desires to make formal application to the State of Arizona
for the lease of two (2) acres of State land within the City
limits, for the purpose of locating temporary City buildings
upon said;land,
WHEREAS, for the past six (6) months the City has
been preparing plans for the use of the above -described land and
it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Apache
Junction to purchase and lease said lands,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the
City of Apache Junction be and she is hereby authorized and
directed to execute any and all documents necessary to conduct
the above -mentioned transactions, provided, however, that nothing
herein shall bind the City until a purchase price and a lease
price and the terms thereof have been finalized and presented
to the City Council and action is taken to approve the trans-
action at that time.
