RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PROCEDURES FOR THE ORDERLY CONDUCT
OF THE BUSINESS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF APACHE JUNCTION FOR
MEETINGS AND WORK SESSIONS.
WHEREAS it is necessary for the orderly conduct of .
Meetings and work sessions of the City Council of
Apache Junction that discussion on matters before
the Council be limited in time, and
WHEREAS the City Council desires that all.Council
,members and the members of the public be afforded
. the opportunity to speak and be heard on all
matters before the Council
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that each person before
the Council be limited to five (5) minutes. within
which to present comments or discussion on matters
before the Council and all speakers be requested
in advance Of.each.meeting to submit request, to
speak in writing.
FURTHER RESOLVED that where a group wishes to present .
comments or discussion one person from the group
be designated to present said comments or discussion.
FURTHER RESOLVED that this procedure be followed at
all Regular. and Special Meetings of the Council,
at all Work Sessions of the Council, and at all
Public Hearings called by the .Council, and that
notice be posted.
FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor be and he is authorized'
from time to time to suspend the operation of this
Rule should it appear to be in the best inter,ests .
of the Council to do so.
