RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
COUNTY OF PINAL,ARIZONA,APPOINTING ELECTION OFFICIALS AND FIXING
THEIR COMPENSATION FOR THE REGULAR PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON MARCH
27,1979,AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS,it i s provided by law for the holding of Primary Election
to be held on March 27,1979.
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the
City of Apache Junction as follows:
Section 1.Election Officials and Their Compensation.
The following officers are hereby appointed to conduct the
primary election on Tuesday,March 27,1979:

The compensation for the Inspector is fixed at the sum of $4.00 per
hour and compensation for the balance of the officers is fixed at the
sum of $3.50 per hour for the election;that a minimum of $20.00 per day
must be paid to each such officer.If any member should fail to appear
and serve,the City Clerk shall appoint a qualified substitute.
Section 2.Declaring an Emergency.
WHEREAS,the immediate operation of this Resolution is necessary for
the preservation of the public peace,health,and safety of the City of
Apache Junction,an emergency is hereby declared to exist.This Resolu-
tion shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,adop.,
tion and approval by the Mayor and Council of the City of Apache Junction,
and i t is hereby exempt from the Referendum Procedures of the Constitu-
tion and Laws of the State of Arizona.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Apache
Junction,Arizona,this 14 day of March 1979.

RESOLUCION DEL ALCALDE Y DE LOS CONCEJALES DE LA CUIDAD DE APACHE
JUNCTION,CONDADO DE PINAL,ARIZONA,NOMBRANDO LOS FUNCIONARIOS
ENCARGADOS DE LAS ELECCIONES Y FIJANDO EL SUELDO DE LOS MISMOS PARA
LOS ELECCIONES REGULARES PRIMARIAS EN EL DIA 27 DE MARZO DE 1979;
Y DECLARANDO UNA EMERGENCIA.
POR CUANTO;ha sido establecida por la ley la celebracion de elec-
ciones Primarias y
POR TANTO HA SIDO DISPLIESTO por el Alacalde y los Concejales de la
cuidad de Apache Junction lo siguiente:
Seccion 1.Nombramiento de los funcionarios encargados de las
elecciones y el sueldo de los mismos:
Par media de la presente se nombran a los siguientes funcionarios
para conducir las elecdiones Primarias que se celebran el martes 27
de marzo de 1979.

El sueldo de el Inspector seri-de $4.00 por hora;y el sueldo de
cada otro de estos funcionarios sera de $3.50 por hora/por dia;se
establece que un minim°de $20.00 por di debera ser pagado a cada
uno de los funcionarios.Si algundo de ellos no comparece a desempenar
su trabajo,la Secretaria Municipal nobrara un sustituto calificado.
Seccion 2:Declarando una emergencia
POR CUANTO,la inmediata aplicacion de las provisiones de esta
resolucion son necesarias para el mantenimiento de la paz publica
para el bienestar de la ciudad de Apache Junction,por media de
la prese5e se 5Jeclara que existe una emergencia;que esta
Resoluc ion sera cumplid,a y se mar.Itendra en vigor,,desde el momenta
despues de su aprobacion,adopcion y autorizacion,por el Alcalde
los Concejales de la ciudad de Apache Junction quedando ex9_pipta
de las normas de referendum establecidas por la Constitucion y
las leyes del Estado de Arizona.
PASADA Y ADOPTADA por el Alcalde y los Concejales de la cuidad de
Apache Junction,Arizona,el dia 14 de marzo de 1979.
