WHEREAS the City of Apache Junction,Arizona has recently
been incorporated,and
WHEREAS the creation of an Official City Seal for use by
the City in carrying on its official business would be in the best
interest of the City,and
WHEREAS the City Council desires that the members of the
City be involved in the creation of the Official City Seal,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that an Art Contest be and
it is hereby established whereby entrants may submit entries for
consideration by the City Council in the selection of the Official
City Seal,
FURTHER RESOLVED that the Art Contest be and is hereby
ordered open to individuals of the general public who reside within
the boundaries of the City,
FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event an entry is selected
by the Council the Grand Prize will be the first printing of the
City Seal and that Honorable Mention may be made.
FURTHER RESOLVED that all entries be and it is hereby
ordered the property of the City to do with as it wishes,
FURTHER RESOLVED that the deadline for submitting entries
in the contest shall be May 20,1979.
