A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, PINAL COUNTY,
ARIZONA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 79-42, REGARDING THE
INCORPORATION OF AN INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
FOR THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION.
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Council
of the City of Apache Junction by three electors requesting
permission to form an Industrial Development Authority Board;
and
WHEREAS, the Arizona Revised Statutes Section 9-1151 et seq.
and Section 10-451 et seq. provide for the formation of
Industrial Development Plans for Municipalities and the
formation of non—profit corporations, respectively; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that this Council finds and determines that
it is wise, expedient, necessary, and advisable that an
Industrial Development Authority of the City of Apache
Junction, Arizona, be incorporated in accordance with and
as provided in the application therefore, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Dorothy Johnson, Ruby Forsberg
and William Wright be, and they are hereby, authorized to
make application to form a corporation pursuant to and
as prescribed by the Arizona Revised Statutes, and a copy
of the proposed revised form of Articles of Incorporation,
which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and hereby is
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the name of said corporation
shall be "The Industrial Development Authority of the City
of Apache Junction, Arizona", and IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED
that the initial Board of Directors shall be composed of
the following seven persons:Dorothy Johnson, Ruby Forsberg,
Bill Wright, Richard Metz, John Drummond, Virgil Johnson,
and Walter W. Kesteloot; and that subsequent to the filing
of the revised form of Articles of Incorporation of said
corporation, the City Council of the City of Apache Junction
may by resolution elect the members of the Board of Directors,
as provided for in the Articles of Incorporation.
