A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF APACHE JUNCTION
CREATING A BOARD OF APPEALS PURSUANT TO SECTION 204
OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1979 ADOPTED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL BY REFERENCE
WHEREAS, the City Council of Apache Junction did on
June 27, 1979 adopt by reference the Uniform Building Code,
1979 Edition as the Building Code for the City of Apache
Junction, Arizona and
WHEREAS, Section 204 of the Uniform Building Code,
1979 Edition does create a Board of Appeals whose purpose
shall be to pass upon all matters pertaining to building
construction; and
WHEREAS, Section 204 of said Uniform Building Code,
1979 Edition does provide that members of the Board of
Appeals shall consist of members who are qualified by
experience and training to pass upon such matters and that
the Building Official shall be an ex officio member of said
Board and shall act as Secretary of said Board and that the
Members of said Board shall be appointed by the City
Council;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that to satisfy the
provisions of the Uniform Building Code, 1979 Edition, the
Apache Junction Board of Adjustments be and is hereby
designated to hear all cases which would come before the
Board of Appeals and to sit as the Board of Appeals,
• established pursuant to Section 204 of the Uniform Building
Code, 1979 Edition.
