RESOLUTION NO.81-19
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,REQUESTING THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION TO AUTHORIZE TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE
FUNDS PURSUANT TO SECTION 40-1102,ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES.
WHEREAS,the Thirty-fifth Legislature,second special session of
1981 established a Local Government Transportation Assistance Fund from
the proceeds of the Arizona State Lottery;and
WHEREAS,the Director of the Arizona Department of Transportation
shall determine the total amount of requests for Local Government
Transportation Assistance Funds from Cities and Towns;and
WHEREAS,these funds are to be distributed on a monthly basis by
the State Treasurer to cities and towns requesting funds;and
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,has a population of
10,090 as determined by the Department of Economic Security,as of
July 1,1980,and
WHEREAS,these funds are to be used for the following transportation
purposes:streets,transit,airport and etc.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,that the Arizona Department of Transpor-
tation i s hereby requested to take necessary steps i n authorizing Local
Government Transportation Assistance Funds for the above mentioned
transportation purposes.
