A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,EXPRESSING THAT THE CITY
OF APACHE JUNCTION DOES ENTER INTO A COOPERATIVE AGREE-
MENT WITH THE PINAL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO ALLOW
UP TO TWENTY-FIVE LOW-INCOME HOUSING UNITS TO BE CON-
STRUCTED IN THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION.
WHEREAS,there i s a necessity for low-income housing i n
the City Limits of Apache Junction,Arizona;and
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction has no program
established for low-income housing within the City Limits;and
WHEREAS,there i s a program that has been submitted to
the City of Apache Junction by the Board of Supervisors for Pinal
County for the establishment of conventional public housing on
scattered sites throughout the municipal limits;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City
Council of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,that the City
enter into a Cooperation Agreement with the Board of Supervisors
of Pinal County,Arizona,for the establishment of at least twenty-
five low-income housing units,consisting of six one -bedroom units
and nineteen two -bedroom units,to be designated as "conventional
public housing units"and scattered on sites throughout the
municipal limits.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,this 5th day of January,1982
