HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 81-05RESOLUTION NO.81-05 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,COUNTY OF PINAL,PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF ELECTION OFFICIALS AND TALLY BOARDS FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION ON MAY 19,1981,AND FIXING THEIR COMPENSATION: WHEREAS,Resolution 80-42 provides for the holding of a General Election;and NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Apache Junction,as follows: Section]Election Officials and Their Compensation The following officers are hereby appointed to conduct the General Election on May 19,1981,for Pinal County voting precinct 22A/Maricopa County voting precinct Apache: One Inspector Two Judges Two Clerks One Marshal And the following officers are hereby appointed to conduct the General Election on May 19,1981,for Pinal County Precinct 226: One Inspector Two Judges Two Clerks One Marshal Compensation for each of the officers i s fixed at $3.35 per hour for the eleciton;a minimum of $30 per day must be paid to such officer.I f any member should fail to appear and serve,the City Clerk shall appoint a qualified substitute. Section 2 Tally Boards and Their Compensation The following Tally Board i s hereby appointed to conduct the tally of votes for the General Election on May 19,1981,for the Pinal County voting precinct 22A/Maricopa County voting precinct Apache: One Inspector Two Judges Two Clerks The members of the Tally Board, appointed for the Pinal County voting precinct 22A/Maricopa County voting precinct Apache,are hereby appointed to serve as the Absentee Election Board i n addition to its duties as Tally Board. The following Tally Board i s hereby appointed to conduct the tally of votes for the General Election on May 19,1981,for Pinal County voting precinct 22B: One Inspector Two Judges Two Clerks The members of the Tally Board appointed, for the Pinal County voting precinct 22B,are hereby appointed to serve as the Absentee Election Board i n addition to its duties as Tally Board. The Compensation of each of the Tally Board Members i s fixed at a sum of $3.35 per hour for the election;a minimum of $30 per day must be paid to such officer. I f any member should fail to appear and serve,the City Clerk shall appoint a qualified substitute.Provided i n ARS 16-531,the inspector of the Tally Board will be the inspector of the Board of Election.The Tally Board shall take custody of the ballots from the closing of the polls until the counting of ballots i s completed.
