WHEREAS the General Election for City Councilmembers for Apache Junction
was held on May 19,1981;and
WHEREAS a Special Meeting of the City Council was held on May 26,1981,
pursuant to law,for the purpose of canvassing the returns of said election;and
WHEREAS the City Council did canvass the election returns at said
Special meeting and did determine the official results of the election,
NOW,THEREFORE,be i t resolved:
1.The number of ballots cast in Precinct 22A:1155
The number of ballots cast in Precinct 22B:1192
The number of absentee ballots cast in both
Precinct 22A and Precinct 22B:650
2.The number of ballots rejected in Precinct 22A:10
The number of ballots Rejected i n Precinct 22B:27
The number of absentee ballots rejected in
Precinct 22A and Precinct 22B:10
3.The number of ballots challenged in Precinct 22A:0
The number of ballots challenged i n Precinct 22B:0
The number of absentee ballots challenged in
Precinct 22A and Precinct 22B:95
4.The number of votes cast for each candidate is:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be,and hereby is,
directed to issue Certificates of Election to Wendell Clarke,Roy Hudson,
Norman Hill,Thomas Damiano,Marie Shanks,Jimmy Eidson,and Henry Steelsmith
i n accordance with Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Apache Junction.
