A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,DECLARING THAT CERTAIN
FEDERALLY PATENTED EASEMENTS FOR PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY
PURPOSES ON EAST THIRTEENTH AND EAST FOURTEENTH AVENUES
AS DESCRIBED IN STREET ABANDONMENT CASE AB -82-8 ARE NO
LONGER NECESSARY FOR PUBLIC USE AS ROADWAYS,AND ARE
HEREBY ABANDONED AND EXTINGUISHED AS PRESENT OR FUTURE
PUBLIC RIGHTS -OF -WAY.
WHEREAS,Fred Dickson,Nelson Williams,Kenneth Scribner,
Blaine Scribner,Richard Jones,Donald Caughey,Aline Caughey,
and Mark and Genevive Myers have made application for the
abandonment of federally patented easements on the property
described i n this resolution;and
WHEREAS,the requested abandonment i s easements for
public right-of-way purposes described as follows:
These parcels of land all located in Section 27,Township
1 North,Range 8 East,Gila and Salt River Base and Meridian,
located i n Apache Junction,Pinal County,Arizona;more
particularly described as follow:
Parcel No.1
The south 33 feet of the North 1 of the Northwest *of
the Southwest A of the Northwest EXCEPT the west 50
feet,and EXCEPT the east 33 feet thereof.
Parcel No.2
The north 33 feet of the South 1 of the Northwest A of
the Southwest A of the Northwest A,EXCEPT the west 50
feet,and EXCEPT the east 33 feet thereof.
Parcel No.3
The south 33 feet of the Northeast *of the Southwest
*of the Northwest * ,EXCEPT the east 33 feet,and EXCEPT
the west 33 feet thereof.
Parcel No.4
The north 33 feet of the Southeast *Of the Southwest
*of the Northwest k,EXCEPT the east 33 feet,and EXCEPT
the west 33 feet thereof.
Parcel No.5
The south 33 feet of the Northwest *of the Southwest
i of the Northwest * ,EXCEPT the east 33 feet,and EXCEPT
that portion lying within the right-of-way limits of
U.S.Highway 60.
Parcel No.6
The north 33 feet of the Southwest k of the Southwest
*of the Northwest i,EXCEPT the east 33 feet,and EXCEPT
that portion lying within the right-of-way limits of
U.S.Highway 60.
WHEREAS,the abandonment requested,i f approved,would
not leave a parcel i n separate ownership without access to
an established public roadway connecting such lands with another
public roadway;and
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona,finds that the said federally patented easements for
public right-of-way purposes as described herein are classified
as local streets on the Apache Junction Street Classification
Plan,and are no longer necessary for public use as roadways,

NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Apache Junction,Arizona,that the above -described federally
patented easements reserved for public right-of-way purposes are hereby
abandoned and extinguished as present and future rights -of -way;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the abandonment of the public right-of-
way has no effect on reservations for public utility easements.
