A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA, REQUESTING
THAT THE COUNTY OF PINAL, STATE OF ARIZONA, COUNTY
HEALTH DEPARTMENT, PROVIDE HEALTH SERVICES FOR
THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, PINAL COUNTY, ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, the City of Apache Junction, Arizona, pusuant to
Arizona Revised Statutes,has created a City Board of Health; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to ARS §36-162(b), the powers of the
County Board of Health is thereby limited in its exercise of
powers within the jurisdictional limits of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of having the Pinal County
Health Department to provide for the following services:
(1)Inspection of food and drink establishments; food
stores, septic tank systems, schools, public and
semi-public bathing places;
(2)Investigation of complaints related to programs
listed above; and
(3)Investigation of complaints about flies, mosquitoes,
animals, manure, garbage and refuse, sewage, noise
and chemicals, epidemiology and consultation on
matters pertaining to environmental health;
and
WHEREAS, ARS §36-190 permits the County Health Department
to continue to provide health services to local authorities upon
the request of such service.
IT IS, THEREFORE, RESOLVED that the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona, specifically request that the County of Pinal, Arizona,
County Health Department continue to provide the following services
to the City of Apache Junction:
(1)Inspection of food and drink establishments; food
stores, septic tank systems, schools, public and
semi-public bathing places;
(2)Investigation of complaints related to programs
listed above; and
(3)Investigation of complaints about flies, mosquitoes,
animals, manure, garbage and refuse, sewage, noise
and chemicals, epidemiology and consultation on
matters pertaining to environmental health;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be
forwarded to the Pinal County, Arizona County Health Department to
serve as our request for the provision of such services.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA, ON THE 2ND DAY OF NOVEMBER
1982.
