A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA, ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON SOUTHERN AVENUE, MERIDIAN DRIVE,
TOMAHAWK ROAD AND SUPERSTITION BOULEVARD, WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF APACHE
JUNCTION, ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to insure safe, effective and
efficient traffic flow along public rights -of -ways within the City limits
of Apache Junction, Arizona.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City
of Apache Junction that the speed limit shall be 35 MPH on Southern Avenue
from Delaware Drive to Tomahawk Road, Meridian Drive from Southern Avenue
to Lost Dutchman Boulevard, Tomahawk Road from Southern Avenue to Superstition
Boulevard and Superstition Boulevard from Meridian Drive to Goldfield Road,
except in school zones.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is empowered and
directed to initiate appropriate action to install the speed limit signs
on the streets listed above.
PASSED this 16th day of March 1982, by the Mayor and
City Council of the City of Apache Junction, Arizona.
